'Best-case scenario' - Manchester United fans react to Jude Bellingham transfer 'update'

Manchester United fans have been reacting to the news Jude Bellingham is reportedly closing in on a move to Real Madrid this summer.

MEN Sport understand United boss Erik ten Hag was open to the idea of making a summer move for Bellingham, with the Dutchman seeking reinforcements ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.

A striker and a younger central midfielder are top of the agenda, though United could also bring in a new right-back and have held talks about the possibility of signing Jeremie Frimpong from German club Bayer Leverkusen.

Tottenham Hotspur ace Harry Kane is Ten Hag's top target as he looks to sign an elite-level striker. Napoli star Victor Osimhen is also on the Dutchman's radar.

Bellingham would fit the bill in terms of a younger central midfield option. The Borussia Dortmund and England star is hot property and could well be on the move this summer.

However, reports from Spanish publication Marca claim that Real Madrid are finalising the signing of Bellingham. It is said that Bellingham, 19, will put pen to paper on a deal running until the summer of 2029.
