Bernardo Silva gives verdict on Inter as Man City reach Champions League final

Bernardo Silva expects Inter to be 'tough' opposition in the Champions League final.

Manchester City booked their tickets to Istanbul with an incredible performance in the semi-final second leg against Real Madrid on Wednesday, defeating the reigning champions 4-0. Bernardo got the ball rolling as he scored twice in the first half before Manuel Akanji and Julian Alvarez made sure the sensational display was reflected in the result.

Inter await Pep Guardiola's side in the final on June 10 after they defeated their city rivals AC Milan comfortably over two legs. Bernardo has revealed he has watched the Italian giants several times this season and knows what to expect.

"I watched the game yesterday, [Inter] a very organised team," Bernardo told BT Sport. "I watched as well the games against Barcelona in the group stage and [Bayern] Munich and Benfica cause it's my team and they look very strong.

"Very organised defensively, quick in the counter-attacks. Setpieces. It's going to be tough but we're going to try."

City have never been closer to claiming a historic treble and could secure the first of three trophies at the weekend. The Blues will be crowned Premier League champions on Saturday if Nottingham Forest defeat Arsenal but can get it all sewn up regardless if they beat Chelsea at home on Sunday.

Bernardo is determined to get the job done. "It's [Premier League] another trophy that we want to win with our fans again," he added. "We're going to try to recover the best we can to be full gas on the weekend to give another Premier League to our people."
