Bents launches Wonka themed afternoon tea for May half term

It's known for its delicious desserts, so it's not surprising that a Wonka themed afternoon tea at Bents is getting customers excited.

The garden centre has launched the treat for May half term and slots are already selling fast.

Described as 'the perfect treat for the little ones during the May half term', Bents says: "From whimsical sandwiches to magical sweet treats, this limited-time menu will transport you to a realm of sweetness and joy."

The tea includes:

Children get sandwiches with ham, cheese and jam fillings, while adults get a mini BLT on a brioche bap, a tuna and sweetcorn, a cheese and tomato sandwich, and pickle and ham salad.

Kids get a carton of milk and for adults there's a bottle of fruit tea with popping bubbles.

Hundreds of people have responded to a Facebook post about the tea, saying they 'can't wait' and 'how amazing does this look'.

It can be booked online for either 12.45pm, 1.45pm, or 2.45pm on May 29, 30 and 31 and costs £12.95 for children and £24.99 for adults.

Bents garden centre is just off the East Lancs Road, near Leigh, Wigan.
