There are a few irons in the fire. It is an ongoing process. Darren Moore has stated he would like to sign one or two more players. They are still interested in signing Hull City's Mallik Wilks.

I can see Wednesday using the loan market more at the back end of the window. Most Premier League clubs have yet to decide on the make up of their squads. As soon as they have made decisions on youngsters, fringe players etc, clubs like Wednesday will try to get more deals done over the line.

I reckon they need a minimum of one winger and another striker. I think they are still missing a bit of pace and flair at the top end of the pitch. Wilks is someone who could potentially give them that extra dimension up front.

It depends, of course, if Wednesday are going to change formation. Right now it looks like they are sticking with 3-5-2 and they already have quite a few options in the wing back areas.

It sounds like Gibson is going to make a decision on his Everton future very soon. Do I see Wednesday going back in for him? No, I don't, because they have brought in Akin Famewo.

He is a natural left footer and gives them that balance on the left hand side of the back three. It would probably send out the wrong message to Famewo if Wednesday then made a move for Gibson.

I think the way Wednesday view the situation is Liam Palmer can play anywhere across the back three. Marvin Johnson also did a steady job there even though it is not his best position.
