Wednesday are still very much interested in Wilks. Hull have made their stance clear. He is not part of the manager's plans there and is available for transfer.

Wednesday are focusing hard on the free agency market at the moment and Wilks would require a transfer fee. He has got another year to run on his Hull contract and it is unlikely Hull will let him go for nothing.

The thing to stress is Wednesday have held talks with a number of potential attacking additions. They want to make sure they get the right players in to fit into Darren Moore's style of play.

Perhaps when Wildsmith was offered a new deal they weren't confident of getting David Stockdale in. Things can change very quickly in football.

If Wildsmith stays, I could see Wednesday trying to sell Dawson. It doesn't make sense for them to have three senior goalkeepers on their books when only one can play.

Dawson's stock is high following his Exeter loan spell. His market value has gone up. If he is not going to be the first-choice goalkeeper next season, it would make sense to cash in on him now.

No, he is not on their shortlist. He is a player Wednesday are well aware of and he performed well in the first half of last season on loan at Ipswich.

However, I think Wednesday are looking elsewhere for attacking reinforcements. Wilks, Michael Smith and Jayden Stockley are some of the forwards they are interested in.
