'Been saying it for years!' - Paul Scholes blasts recurring Manchester United problem after Galatasaray draw

Paul Scholes has slammed Manchester United's lack of leadership in difficult moments after they threw away a two-goal lead to draw 3-3 at Galatasaray on Wednesday.

United found themselves 2-0 and 3-1 up at different times in their penultimate Champions League group stage clash in Istanbul. Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes had put Erik ten Hag's side two up with a pair of excellent finishes inside 18 minutes.

Hakim Ziyech then had a weak effort palmed into his own net by Andre Onana but when Scott McTominay scored United's third, breathing space was restored. However, Onana then let in another Ziyech free-kick and Muhammed Aktürkoğlu then levelled with 19 minutes to go.

United twice seemed to have complete control of the game and had settled down a fervent crowd at Rams Park but allowed Galatasaray multiple routes back into the game. And Scholes highlighted a lack of discipline in the middle of the pitch as the major issue once again.
