BBC The One Show viewers say 'sorry' as they make Ant McPartlin remark after 'be honest' request

The One Show viewers were left saying 'sorry' after Ant McPartlin made a 'be honest' request while on the programme. The presenter joined co-host Dec Donnelly on the BBC One show on Thursday night (February 22) ahead of the return of Saturday Night Takeaway.

Ant and Dec confirmed last year that the new series of their hit ITV show would be taking a break after its 20th season. They said the milestone seemed like the "perfect time to pause for a little while and catch our breath".

The pair have now said they are putting their popular programme on ice "to spend some time" with their families. Ant married Anne-Marie Corbett, who has two teenage daughters from her previous relationship, in 2021 while Ant shares two children, five-year-old daughter Isla and 18-month-old Jack, with his wife Ali Astall.

But ahead of the new series, which starts on Saturday night (February 24), Ant and Dec have been doing the media rounds to promote the string of final shows - for now - including a stop at The One Show with Alex Jones and Roman Kemp.

But it wasn't the news that the Geordio duo, both 48, admitting they plan to put the popular ITV show on hold for a while that got viewers talking but instead Ant's look. He could be seen sporting a navy blue top paired with matching trousers and white trainers, however, he accompanied the attire with a multi-coloured cardigan which certainly stood out on-screen.

As they made their way into The One Show studio, Ant immediately asked host Alex Jones: "Be honest. Is this cardi too much?" to which the Welsh TV star replied: "No, I love it!" before
