BBC The One Show viewers make demand as ITV Good Morning Britain's Ben Shephard reveals secret degree

The One Show viewers had a clear demand as Ben Shephard appeared on the show. The Good Morning Britain host swapped his usual early mornings for an early evening appearance on our screens as he chatted to Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas on the BBC One show.

He was on the famous green sofa to chat about his new book, Humble Heroes, which tells the stories of everyday people quietly doing amazing things for other people and their communities. Ben explained how it started off as an online callout during the coronavirus pandemic but has now turned into a book full of heart-warming stories.

But before talking about his latest project, Ben revealed his secret degree that came as a surprise to the hosts and fellow guest, Strictly Come Dancing star, Shirley Ballas.

Are we going to see you on it at some point?" Before he could respond, Shirley answered: "Yes," but Ben went on to explain why his dancing degree might not actually make him the perfect candidate for the hit dance contest.

"My degree in contemporary dance was very much about running around, physical theatre, getting naked, covering yourself in soy sauce.
