BBC Strictly Come Dancing viewers claim 'it's unfair' as Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola close semi-final
Strictly Come Dancing viewers have said 'it's not fair' after Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola closed this year's semi-final. It was a big night in the ballroom for the four remaining couples on Saturday night (December 9) as just three places are available in next weekend's final.
There were only four instead of the usual five couples in the semi-final after actress Amanda Abbington quit due to 'personal reasons' earlier in the series and Casualty star Nigel Harman did not compete in the quarter-finals last Saturday as he was forced to withdraw from the competition after he injured his rib while practising a jump in rehearsals which left him in A&E.
It meant that last Sunday, there was no public vote or elimination and all of the remaining stars went through to the semi-finals. Presenters Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly reminded viewers on Saturday evening that the night’s scores will be added to the judges' scores from last week.

It was EastEnders star Bobby Brazier and his dance partner Dianne Buswell who kicked off the Strictly 2023 semi-finals with a quickstep to Mack The Knife by Bobby Darin.
Head judge Shirley Ballas called Brazier, 20, the "king of ballroom" and said: "What a way to open the semi-final." The couple were then awarded a total of 38 points and received two 10s, one from Ballas and another from Anton Du Beke.
The performances then kept on coming as each couple performed two dances each as they hoped to make it through to be in with a chance of claiming this year's Strictly title and therefore get to lift the
