BBC Strictly Come Dancing star's emotional Liam Payne tribute after death of 'little bro'

JB Gill has shared an emotional tribute to Liam Payne following the news of his tragic death. The former One Direction has died, aged 31, after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires.

Local police said the singer fell from the third floor into the courtyard of the Casa Sur Hotel in the Palermo neighbourhood of Argentina’s capital before medics confirmed his death.

According to police in Buenos Aires, officers were initially responding to reports “of an aggressive man who may have been under the effects of drugs and alcohol”.

The Foreign Office confirmed it is in contact with authorities in Argentina “regarding reports of the death of a British man”. But a spokesman declined to comment any further, including on the identity of the man involved.

Taking to Instagram on Thursday (October 17), JB shared a picture of himself with his JLS bandmates - Marvin Humes, Aston Merrygold and Oritse Williams - alongside One Direction when they pulled together to perform on The X Factor during the 2011 live final.
