BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Chris McCausland takes 'compliment' in 'gracious' response to co-star's surprise 'dig'

Chris McCausland has poured water over fans' concerns that one of his Strictly Come Dancing co-stars had made a pointed dig amid their exit from the show.

During the latest live edition of the BBC One dance contest, comedian Chris and his dance partner Dianne Buswell impressed once again as they scored 30 out of a possible 40 points for their Wayne’s World-inspired jive in the annual Movie Week special.

Toyah and Neil went on to make an appearance on Strictly's spin-off show It Takes Two to discuss their exit and time on the show. And it was when asked by Fleur what advice or tips she had for the other celebrities, that Toyah laughed and clapped, then pointed to the camera and said: "If you don’t want to do a dance-off, get rid of Chris!"

Neil and Fleur then seemed to share a surprised glance as Toyah collapsed into her pro partner’s lap
