BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Amy Dowden shows off incredible flexibility after teasing with 'coming soon' message

Amy Dowden looked incredible as she was seen working on her strength and flexibility as she eyes up a return to Strictly Come Dancing after being left gutted over missing the last series due to cancer treatment.

The dancer was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer in May last year after she found a lump in her breast in April, the day before going to the Maldives on honeymoon with Ben, a fellow professional dancer.

Amy announced the news after undergoing a mastectomy and later bravely documented going through chemotherapy treatment. But while the course of treatment wasn't without its setbacks, earlier this year, she was given the positive news that there was no evidence of disease, however, she will not receive the “all clear” for five years due to her type of cancer.

She has since shared her hopes at returning to the ballroom this year and to kick off the week, Amy took to Instagram with some snaps of her taking part in a pilates class.

Beaming for a selfie alongside her instructor, the Welsh star said: "Great way to start the week @pilatesstourbridge." She was also seen showing off her flexibility during a barre exercise while sporting a black sports bra and maroon-coloured leggings. "Feeling better after that," Amy admitted.

The posts come after she shared an exciting update with her fans. Amy revealed earlier this year that she is working hard on a new venture as she teased that it was "coming soon" on her Instagram account.
