BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Amy Dowden declared love by co-stars over 'I did it' statement
Amy Dowden has been inundated with love and support from her Strictly Come Dancing co-stars as she emotional declared: "I did it!" The professional dancer has been living life to the full on the road with her fellow stars of the hit dance show.
They've been touring the country as part of the Strictly Come Dancing Live tour with Amy making history by performing as part of the tour's first-ever trio alongside JLS star JB Gill and fellow pro dancer Lauren Oakley
It comes after Amy made a triumphant return to her beloved dancing and to the Strictly ballroom last year and was partnered with JB after having to miss the 2023 series due to undergoing treatment for breast cancer.
However, her return to the dancefloor during Strictly 2024 was cut short when she suffered an injury at the end of October. The injury to her foot, which wasn't related to any other health concerns experienced previously, meant she couldn't continue in the 2024 run of the competition and was replaced by Lauren.
The trio have now been able to perform as a team for the first time during the string of arena shows that kicked off back in January. But as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end and Amy has marked the end of the tour on Sunday (February 9) with a moving post as she looked back at how far she's come since being diagnosed with cancer and having to take a step back from one of the things she loves most.
Alongside a string of pictures of her performing in arenas up and down the country, including in her series comeback dance in which she took the lead with Aljaz Skorjanec, as well as some snaps with her co-stars taken behind-the-scenes, Amy wrote: "#tourphotodump I’ve always loved the @strictlycomedancinglive arena tour but I didn’t
