One Strictly Come Dancing pairing are said to already have a 'tight connection' and are tipped to make 'brilliant TV' as the competition is set to officially get underway.

Fans of the BBC One dance contest were thrilled last week as the class of 2024 was officially welcomed into the iconic ballroom by hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman during the colourful and energetic pre-recorded launch show.

During the first episode of the series, the celebrities were seen being paired with their professional dancers and among the new couples were comedian Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell, Morning Live's resident GP Dr Punam Krishan and Gorka Marquez, singer Toyah Willcox and Neil Jones, actor Shayne Ward and Nancy Xu and JLS star JB Gill and Amy Dowden.

But it's this Saturday (September 21) that the 2024 run of the competition really gets underway as the 15 new couples perform their first dances with the judges' comments and scores.

For the first time on Friday (September 20) it was revealed what each couple will be dancing to. Actress Sarah Hadland and reigning champion Vito will be performing a Quickstep to 9 to 5 by Dolly Parton, while former Love Island star Tasha Ghour and Aljaž Skorjanec are dancing the Cha Cha to Espresso by Sabrina Carpenter and DIY SOS host Nick Knowles and Luba Mushtuk will Jive to We Built This City by Starship.

And it's Sarah who already has a 'tight connection' with pro dancer Vito, which will help the celeb to stay 'super motivated' and the promise of some 'brilliant TV', according to a body language expert.
