BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans get 'goosebumps' as Ellie and Vito making stunning return
Fans of Strictly Come Dancing have been 'left with goosebumps' following last year's champions mesmerising performance on tonight's 20th anniversary launch show. Coronation street star Ellie Leach joined Italian dancer Vito Coppola on the ballroom floor for their final dance as the reigning winners.
Ellie and Vito first performed the Paso Doble to Insomnia by Faithless, on week five of the show. It scored them their first 10 of the 2023 series from judge Motsi Mabuse, who, at the time, hailed their performance as the 'best of the season so far'.
On X, previously known as Twitter, one enthusiast remarked: "I got goosebumps watching Ellie and Vito dance together again." Somebody else mentioned: "Ellie and Vito's Paso Dablo was one of the finest, perfectionist and absolutely fab-u-lous dances I've ever watched on Strictly. 90 seconds of pure drama, tense and absolute storytelling. Glad they were the 2023 champions."

A third X user said: "What was so special about Ellie and Vito's Insomnia Paso, other than it being one of the greatest Strictly dances of all time, was that they first performed it weeks after Maxi Jazz died, and it was such a fitting tribute to the man. I still can't get no sleep."
