BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty pauses show to share 'breaking news' announcement

Naga Munchetty briefly interrupted Saturday's BBC Breakfast broadcast to deliver some urgent 'breaking' news to viewers.

While discussing the day's main stories, the 49-year-old presenter swiftly moved on to 'breaking' news as the banner flashed across the screen.

She informed viewers: "The release of three Israeli hostages by Hamas is currently taking place in Gaza and it's the latest stage in the ceasefire deal which will also see the release of more than 180 Palestinian prisoners by Israel."

The show on Saturday was led by Naga alongside her co-host Charlie Stayt. This comes just after Naga and Charlie had earlier in the week broken into Thursday's live broadcast with some tragic "breaking" news.

The jet, which was coming from Wichita, Kansas, was carrying 60 passengers and four crew members, and three
