BBC Beyond Paradise fans 'predict' exit of main character as Martha and Humphrey's future 'confirmed'

BBC drama Beyond Paradise has left fans speculating about the future of characters Martha Lloyd, played by Sally Bretton, and Humphrey Goodman, portrayed by Kris Marshall. The end of the second series saw their relationship in jeopardy as they decided to cancel their wedding.

The course of the third series is still unknown, but filming is already underway with cast members seen on location across Cornwall.

Adding to the suspense, it's been revealed that Martha's ex-lover, Archie (Jamie Bamber), will be returning in the upcoming series. This sparks questions about whether he could cause problems for the couple by trying to kiss Martha once more.

The third series features a stellar cast including Kris Marshall as DI Humphrey Goodman, Sally Bretton as Martha Lloyd, Zahra Ahmadi as DS Esther Williams, Dylan Llewellyn as PC Kelby Hartford, Barbara Flynn as Anne Lloyd, Felicity Montagu as Margo Martins, Jade Harrison as CS Charlie Woods, and Melina Sinadinou as Zoe Williams.

Devoted fans have taken to a Facebook fan page dedicated to the show to share their thoughts on the characters. One fan posted an extensive commentary about cafe owner Martha, reports Express.

The post read: "I don't understand Martha. First, she decides she is not going to do any more fertility treatments (I know they are expensive and can affect your emotions but she should discuss it with Humphrey before standing him up at the clinic), then she decides the wedding her mother planned for her and Humphrey isn't what she wanted. AND she waits until her wedding day to tell her mother this. I have watched this series more than once but it gets my hackles up every time I see that last episode." (sic).
