Bayern prepare second Mane bid after Liverpool rebuff first offer.

Bayern Munich are preparing a new bid of around £30million for Liverpool striker Sadio Mane after their opening offer was rejected.

Sportsmail reported that Liverpool dismissed Bayern's bid of £21m plus a further £4.6m in add-ons which included if the Germans won the Champions League.

Liverpool want closer to £42.5m for 30-year-old Mane which they will put towards a replacement.

Liverpool are among the clubs interested in Benfica's Darwin Nunez but will not pay over the odds for the 22-year-old.

Manchester United, Newcastle and Paris Saint-Germain remain interested in the Uruguayan who impressed this season with 34 goals in 41 games across all competitions.

Mane has 12 months left to run on his current deal and has hinted that his future may lie elsewhere.

In a press conference last week, the forward let slip that he would leave Anfield to appease fans in his homeland.

'I respect the fans and team but 60 to 70 per cent of Senegalese want me to leave Liverpool? I'll do what they want,' Mane added, before later insisting it was all a bit of humour.

But Sportsmail revealed that Mane has already asked Liverpool team-mate Thiago if he can move into his house in Munich if he joins Bayern this summer, throwing his future further into doubt.

Bayern president Herbert Hainer discussed the possible acquisition of Mane, telling German outlet BILD: 'If we really want a player, we are able to get him. But he has to suit us.'

Meanwhile, Liverpool are continuing discussions with Aberdeen over right-back Calvin Ramsay, 18, and have confirmed James Milner, 36, has signed a new one year contract on reduced terms. Teammate Naby Keita is also expected to sign a new deal.
