Mane, Salah, Mahrez: Who is the world's highest-paid African footballer?

Sadio Mane completed his move from Liverpool to Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

The Senegalese superstar confirmed he will be always be a Liverpool fan in his exit interview.

Asked by Liverpool’s official website whether he will always be a Liverpool fan, Mane replied: “Yeah, of course! After every game! After every one of my games in Munich I will come to the dressing room and I will watch Liverpool, for sure, because I am going to be Liverpool’s No.1 fan forever.

“I just want to say good luck to them and I have an eye on them. And for sure they will be even better because I know the boys: great players, great talent, great maturity and attitude, so of course, Liverpool will always stay even better, for sure.”

Per Spotrac, Mane earned £100,000-per-week at Liverpool, making him Liverpool’s joint-12th highest-paid player prior to his departure.

He has been given a hefty pay-rise and will earn £250,000-per-week at Bayern, per the Mirror.

According to Ghana outlet 3sports, that makes Mane the highest-paid African footballer in the world.
