Manchester City will be aiming to get the job done in Germany and advance to the Champions League semi-finals.

City hold a massive advantage going into the second leg of the quarter-final fixture as they destroyed Bayern Munich 3-0 at the Etihad last week with Rodri, Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland grabbing the goals.

Pep Guardiola's side have been boosted by the return of Phil Foden following surgery to remove his appendix and he has made the trip to Munich after making his comeback in training this week.

The Blues boss has made it clear Foden is not ready to start but having him back available is a massive positive. "We are delighted. It's good news for us," the manager said.

"He's just had one training session yesterday. We are excited he will travel with us. [He can't play] 90 for sure, but his physicality is special - a special player who doesn’t need lot of training sessions to be fit. It is important not just for tomorrow but for the schedule we have ahead of us."

Foden withdrew from England duty at the end of March with appendicitis and has not played since as he recovers from the surgery and the injury. The 22-year-old returned to training with the team this week and has travelled with them for the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final against Bayern Munich.
