Barry Ferguson makes emphatic Rangers Champions League prediction are he urges Ibrox side to simply get it done

Tuesday evening sees Rangers welcome Union Saint Gilloise as they look to overturn a two goal deficit.

It is a huge night at Ibrox with huge pressure on the manager and the players but Rangers legend Barry Ferguson reckons his former side have what it takes to get the job.

Rangers will be holding onto hopes of another historic European night in Govan and the return of Alfredo Morelos - who marked his comeback with a goal on Saturday - is sure to provide a well needed boost. Many will feel the battle should be half as hard after VAR awarded a controversial penalty to the Belgians who went on to double their lead from the spot after an alleged Connor Goldson handball. “The fans will be going there in their numbers with demands and expectations put on them (the players) and that is what you need. I fully expect Rangers to come flying out the traps. I’ve heard people saying ‘Oh they need to be a bit cagey and watch’. No. They need to go and win the game by more than three goals.

“I’d just take going through. Whether it is extra-time or not I couldn’t care less. Rangers just need to make sure they’re in the next round against either PSV or Monaco.
