Barcelona 'will make offers' for £87m duo in January at Camp Nou

Barcelona are expected to make offers for Chelsea duo N’Golo Kante and Jorginho in the January transfer window, according to journalist Simon Phillips.

The Blues midfielders see their contract expire at Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2023, and are therefore available to talk to foreign clubs about a free transfer in the New Year.

The Evening Standard recently claimed that Graham Potter’s side are open to renewing both of their deals, but want to sign Kante on lesser terms due to his ongoing injury problems.

The report further revealed that Barcelona ‘want to exploit’ the contract situation involving the pair, and it’s suggested that Kante himself would be open to join the Catalan giants or La Liga rivals Real Madrid.

Now, Phillips has indicated that Barcelona are already doing preliminary work behind-the-scenes over potential moves for the Chelsea midfielders, and that offers are expected to arrive in the January transfer window.
