Balogun starts: The predicted Middlesbrough XI to play Tottenham tonight
Chris Wilder’s side earned a big home tie with Tottenham Hotspur following wins over Mansfield Town and Manchester United in the previous rounds.
Penalties were needed to cause an upset at Old Trafford in February, and Boro will be hoping to cause another upset on Tuesday evening.
Boro come into the game in mixed form, having lost twice and won twice in their last four league games.
But Spurs have lost four of their last five league games, which will give Wilder confidence that another upset is on the cards.
Here is how we predict Boro will line up to face Antonio Conte’s side…
Wilder could utilise the same starting side as the one that knocked United out of the cup at the start of last month.
That would mean Duncan Watmore will drop to the bench in favour of Folarin Balogun as the partner to Andraz Sporar.
James Lea-Siliki will also likely come out of the team, with Matt Crooks taking place having served his two-game suspension.
Marc Bola remains unavailable for selection, but otherwise the team will line up as they did in the 3-2 defeat to Barnsley last weekend.
