Balogun starts: The predicted Middlesbrough XI to face Hull on Saturday

Middlesbrough are looking to keep their play-off charge up this weekend as they take on Hull City in the Sky Bet Championship.

The Teessiders are firmly in the mix in the race for the top six at the moment, but know that they must keep winning games with several sides also still boasting solid play-off credentials.

That said, they cannot let up this weekend against a Hull City side that doesn’t have too much to play for, and will therefore potentially be a dangerous animal as the shackles could be off for them.

In terms of Boro team news, we could see both Aaron Connolly and Folarin Balogun start alongside one another, whilst Isaiah Jones may return if he has overcome his illness

Marc Bola may go down the opposite flank whilst the midfield trio of Tavernier, Howson and Crooks could be kept with by Wilder.

On paper, it’s a Boro team that should do the business this weekend against Hull, but Wilder knows that every game at this stage of the season is a potential pitfall with the pressures that are on, and he will be drumming that into his players.

Ahead of the game, then, this is the potential line-up we could see him name to take on the men from Humberside this weekend…
