Balloch powerboat racer Oban Duncan celebrates 'dream come true' Monaco podium

Balloch’s Oban Duncan lived a childhood dream by standing on the podium in Monaco.

But the 18-year-old E1 powerboat racer admits she was frustrated it wasn’t the top step, despite it being her first podium for Team Drogba in the pioneering electric racing series.

She told the Lennox: “It still feels a little bit unreal. But it’s really cool.

“Before we went we were so excited, I couldn’t believe that we’d be racing in Monaco. But whilst we were there it was all downplayed a little bit. We just treated it as any other race and got on with it, which was great.

Oban continued: “We’re definitely getting better and learning a lot more every time we’re in the boat. There are just a couple of little tweaks that we have to make to get even better, which is great because we know where we need to improve.

“As a team we know where we can go forward.
