B&M shoppers spot new Snickers flavour that's sent them into a frenzy
Snickers fans have gone nuts for a new chocolate bar flavour that's been spotted in B&M.
The Berry Whip variety is a fruity twist on the classic recipe. It combines the traditional peanut, chewy caramel and chocolate with strawberry whipped nougat.
It may seem quite out of the box, but peanut butter and strawberry jam are flavours that are known to go very well together.
So would you try it? When pictures of the product were posted onto the popular NewFoodsUK Instagram page, people seemed to be very keen on giving it a go.
One said: "I'm super curious." Another said: "They look interesting, worth a try." Meanwhile, some foodies tried the sweet treat and gave it rave reviews.
One B&M customer said: "I've had these and have some they are really nice highly recommend." Another gushed: "These are delicious." And a third added: "Loved it, gave off kinda PB&J vibes."
However, the Berry Whip Snickers does seem to be a bit divisive. One commenter said: "I tried these. I recommend not bothering. Questionable combination of flavours (for me anyway)."
If you aren't keen on the idea, there's no need to fret. Nothing's stopping you from buying the original chocolate bar instead. Alternatively, you can give this popular pecan variety a go.
Snickers was first made in the United States. The chocolate was introduced by the Mars Company in 1930. It was named after the favourite horse of the Mars family, which owned the company.
But in the UK it initially launched under the name "Marathon". This was changed to align with the US version in 1990 (but there are some of us out there who still get the name wrong!)
Nowadays, Snickers is one of the most popular chocolate bars in the world. Annual global sales are said to be more than $380
