Crystal Palace had a busy previous summer transfer window, not just in terms of replacing Roy Hodgson with Patrick Vieira for the manager role but also with numerous players coming and going.

Now as Vieira’s debut season in charge of the Eagles draws to a close, the focus will presumably be once again on the next transfer window and what the club will be looking to do in it.

However, it seems as though the south London club may have a challenge on their hands to keep hold of one of their key players before any thoughts can be put towards potentially bringing in some new faces.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, journalist and transfer insider Pete O’Rourke had this to say about the future of Palace full-back Tyrick Mitchell.

He said: “You’ve got to be imagining that some Premier League clubs will be looking at Tyrick Mitchell. I think the last couple of seasons he’s been a real consistent performer for Palace, and if he was to get an England call-up in the future, it’s just going to raise his profile even further, and bring him to the attention of the top clubs in the Premier League.”

After joining the club from Brentford’s youth academy back in 2016, the left-back has made 60 appearances across the Eagles’ U18, U23 and senior sides.

This season has seen the defender play the full 90 minutes in all but one of Palace’s league games, racking up more minutes than any other player in Vieira’s squad, showing just how highly rated he is by the Frenchman.

In those games, the 22-year-old has earned himself an overall performance rating of 6.79, making him Palace’s fourth-highest rated player according to WhoScored.
