Australian Open odds: Alcaraz, Sabalenka are finals favorites as Joker upsets Sinner in semis - ESPN
The Australian Open championship matches are set, but not before some drama on the men's side as Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz both prevailed in five-setters over last year's finalists.
Jannik Sinner had been the odds-on favorite to win his third consecutive men's title but fell to 10-time Australian Open champion Novak Djokovic, while Carlos Alcaraz defeated Alexander Zverev of Germany.
Djokovic closed +810 to defeat Sinner, making this the largest moneyline upset at a men's Grand Slam since Botic Van De Zandschulp defeated Alcaraz as a 25-1 underdog in the 2024 US Open round of 64, per ESPN Research.
The men's final is Sunday.
Aryna Sabalenka remains the favorite on the women's side after a runner-up finish to Madison Keys last year. She will now play No. 5 seed Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan in the women's singles final, which is Saturday.
