Australian Open day 11 live updates: Nick Kyrgios, Thanasi Kokkinakis, Ash Barty go for finals berths as Dylan Alcott seeks farewell title

Australian Open wildcards Nick Kyrgios and Thanasi Kokkinakis are playing for a place in the men's doubles final on Rod Laver Arena.

Later, Dylan Alcott will seek a farewell title and Ash Barty will try to cement a spot in the women's singles final when she plays Madison Keys.

Kyrgios set to serve to keep the Aussies in the set at 4-5 down.

And although serve has been held easily by all teams you now have to wonder about the decision to receive just a little bit.

As things continue to go along on serve in the opening set with the third seeds leading 4-3 here are some things to know about them.

And the most notable thing is they have had some big wins in their day, especially as singles players.

In double they have twice made grand slam finals as a pair but have never won one.

The lost the 2019 US Open final to Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah and the 2021 Wimbledon final to Czech pair Nikola Mektic and Mate Pavic.

And while as singles players they never had the obvious talent of a Kyrgios they both achieved big victories.

 Zeballos in particular has one famous singles title — in 2013 he beat Rafa Nadal on clay to win the Chile Open title.

Granollers too was no slouch — he won the US claycourt in 2008 where he knocked off former top 10 player James Blake in the final.

Things are on serve here early at 2-1 to the third-seeded pair of the Argentine Horacio Zeballos and his Spanish partner Marcel Granollers but from the very first point Nick Kyrgios was trying to get the crowd involved.

He hit a brilliant backhand lob to take the first point in the perfect start to the match.
