The man was stabbed in Carr Lane East, in the Croxteth area of Liverpool, with emergency services arriving soon after to take the man to hospital. Three people, a man and two women, have since been arrested, Merseyside Police say.

A 44-year-old man from Liverpool has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Two women also from Liverpool, aged 46 and 49, have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and section 18 wounding with intent.
