Atletico Madrid admire Matty Cash, Bentancur & Douglas Luiz latest - Aston Villa transfer Q&A live

So it's one down and one to go now for Aston Villa as they remain in negotiations with Juventus for midfield ace Rodrigo Bentancur.

Last night, Villa announced a bolt out of the - claret and - blue to announce the signing of Calum Chambers on a three-and-a-half year deal.

Villa snapped up the former Southampton and Arsenal centre-back on a free transfer, with Chambers coming in as a direct replacement for Axel Tuanzebe who left for Napoli at the beginning of the month.

Elsewhere, has been informed of Atletico Madrid's interest in right-back Matty Cash.

Atleti head coach Diego Simeone admires the Villa full-back and remains on the lookout for a replacement for Kieran Trippier who left for Newcastle.

There's also strong interest in Douglas Luiz, with Arsenal keen while Villa have reportedly rejected a bid in excess of £30million from an unnamed club for the Brazilian.

And lastly, loan deals for Villa's youngsters are expected in the coming days with Louie Barry and Brad Young expected to join League Two clubs. There's also a possibility of Kaine Kesler-Hayden returning to Swindon Town but that appears unlikely knowing the right-back has impressed Steven Gerrard since his recall.
