Aston Villa told to sign Everton transfer target James Tarkowski after 'talks' opened

Aston Villa supporters are generally in favour of the club reportedly opening talks with England international James Tarkowski over a free transfer as the centre-back is set to leave Burnley.

The 29-year-old has spent the last six season playing in the Premier League for the Clarets before their relegation on the final day of last season. Tarkowski is apparently also attracting plenty of interest from elsewhere in the division including Everton, Leicester City and West Ham United.

Reports now seem to be signalling that Steven Gerrard 's side are leading the way. Here is a selection of the social media reaction to Villa being 'in talks' with Tarkowski.
