Aston Villa star sends cryptic three-word message as Steven Gerrard snub continues

Morgan Sanson cannot seem to get a kick in an Aston Villa shirt despite the manner of the club's performances in recent weeks.

Sanson, the £14 million signing from Marseille in January last year, has started his Villa career with a difficult 13 months.

The Frenchman has been beset by injury but is fully fit at present but has not played since showing his frustration at being substituted in a 2-2 draw with Manchester United on January 15.

Sanson was replaced by Philippe Coutinho for his debut after sealing a loan switch from Barcelona and the Brazilian did go on to play a role in Jacob Ramsey's goal to halve Villa's deficit and then he bagged the equaliser.

Sanson was benched after the United game and has not played a minute since despite Villa only winning one of the four matches played.

Sanson played arguably his best game for Villa in the 3-1 defeat to Chelsea on Boxing Day, a game that was in the balance until Romelu Lukaku came on at half-time.

Villa supporters want to see more of Sanson and after recent performances Gerrard could shake up his midfield and bring the player in for the game against Brighton and Hove Albion on
