Aston Villa injury news vs West Ham as Steven Gerrard waits on final boost
Aston Villa return to action when they play West Ham United at the London Stadium on Sunday (2pm).
Villa are flying in the Premier League with three wins from as many games with nine goals scored across those matches and none conceded.
Steven Gerrard's side beat Leeds United 3-0 at Elland Road last time out thanks to goals from Philippe Coutinho, Matty Cash and Calum Chambers.
Things are looking up for Villa after Gerrard's first sticky patch of his time in charge of the club and hand-in-hand with a superb run of form is the return to fitness of players.
Villa fans were all looking to their side's substitute's bench for the Leeds game with the matchday squad filled out with talent able to come on and see out the clash.
The return to fitness of Bertrand Traore and Leon Bailey has added options in attack for Gerrard while Morgan Sanson controlled the Leeds match when he came on for the final 19 minutes.
Villa would have a fully fit squad but for Marvelous Nakamba, who remains sidelined with a knee injury though he will be back soon.
"We're in a good place," Gerrard said before the Leeds game on Thursday.
"We've got the majority of the team fit and available, there's only Marvelous who we are waiting for to come back into the group."
Gerrard welcomed back Carney Chukwuemeka, Ezri Konsa and Lucas Digne for the Elland Road trip.
Digne replaced Ashley Young for Leeds having immediately come back into the team.
