Aston Villa learn transfer stance as top talent linked with move

Bristol City are reportedly 'comfortable and confident' regarding Reuben McAllister's situation at the club amid rumours linking the teenager with a move to Aston Villa.

According to the Sun , Villa are set to join the race for the 16-year-old attacking midfielder who has has impressed in the U23s at Championship side Bristol City. He made his debut for the development squad last October at just 15 years-old with other clubs also tracking his progress such as Newcastle United, Rangers and Celtic.

However, despite heavy links with a move away from Ashton Gate, have said that City have not received 'a single bid for McAllister nor even an enquiry for the teenager.'

McAllister is currently on a two-year scholars contract at Bristol which gives the Championship club full control of his situation, with a 'very specific' pathway for his progress at the club already mapped out. Although it is believed that a place in Nigel Pearson's first team squad is still some way off due to his age.

The Robins are said to be relaxed and also slightly 'bemused' about why this sudden attention has come from the Premier League for the player but go on to state that rumours could be arising due to McAllister recently signing with CAA Base football agency, who also represent Keinan Davis and Ashley Young.
