Luton Town set to compete with Sunderland, Huddersfield Town and Bristol City for 21-year-old

According to the Northern Echo, the Championship clubs have their sights set on the midfielder.

The League Two side are hoping to hold out for an offer of £1 million for the player, but Sunderland view that as an over-valuation of Rudoni.

The Dons suffered relegation from League One last season, but the 21-year-old still stood out as a quality player despite the team’s performances.

That has caught the attention of multiple second division teams, which now makes a summer transfer appear likely.

But Sunderland and Luton will need to compete to convince Rudoni over which move is the best next step in his career.

Huddersfield Town have also had a bid rejected by Wimbledon for the player, with Bristol City also seen as a possible destination for a transfer.

Rudoni is seen as a top target by Alex Neil as Sunderland look to improve their squad ahead of their return to the Championship.

Luton and Huddersfield are also both hoping to strengthen in order to improve on their play-off losses.

Meanwhile, Bristol City are looking to climb the table having finished 19th last campaign with Nigel Pearson.

Rudoni had an impressive season, as evidenced by the number of clubs pursuing his transfer.

His options are wide open, with all four clubs being able to make a case that they are an ideal destination for the player.

However, it may come down to negotiations with Wimbledon, with nobody seemingly agreeing with their £1 million valuation.

A compromise may need to be made in order to get all four clubs interested, but the Dons will be hoping that one of them steps up and bites the bullet on their asking price in order to get the deal over the line.
