Aston Villa fans excited by 'great move' as January transfer confirmed

Aston Villa fans have hailed a loan move to Swindon Town as a "great opportunity" for Louie Barry after the transfer was confirmed.

The 18-year-old is highly rated at Villa and made headlines, scoring the young team’s goal against Liverpool in the FA Cup last season.

He spent the first half of the campaign on loan with League One side Ipswich Town in an effort to gain more first-team experience.

However, the teenager found game time hard to come by at Portman Road and returned to Villa earlier in the window.

He made a goalscoring return to the U23s this week but will now spend the rest of the season with League Two side Swindon.

Defender Kaine Kesler Hayden spent the first half of the campaign on loan with the same club, impressing the fans, with Swindon now returning to Villa to help develop another one of their youngsters.

Taking to social media to give their reaction to the move, Villa fans are excited to see what the teenager can do at the County Ground.
