Ashford United re-sign striker Danny Parish from fellow Isthmian South East club Sittingbourne

Prolific striker Danny Parish has gone “home” after rejoining Ashford United.

Parish, 26, is back with the Nuts & Bolts after a stint at fellow Isthmian South East club Sittingbourne.

The popular forward scored 43 goals in 74 appearances across two previous spells with Ashford.

“We’ve signed Danny because what we’re looking for is people who really want to play for Ashford,” said manager Lloyd Hume.

“He’s got a history at Ashford, it’s the favourite club he’s ever played for, he’s very public about that.

“I think Danny has a similar attitude and similar qualities to Louis and if we can get him firing on all cylinders with Gary Lockyer, Louis, Noah Carney, and the others, that bodes well.”

Parish said: “I couldn’t be happier - it truly feels like I’m coming home.

“The club holds so many great memories for me and my family, and I’m looking forward to making many more.

“I can’t wait to be back out there scoring and playing in front of our fans again.”

Ashford, 5-2 winners over VCD at the weekend with Collins scoring a hat-trick, visit Deal Town tonight.

Sittingbourne, who beat Broadbridge Heath 3-1, are off to
