Asda reveals locations of 11 former Co-op sites now open as Asda Express stores - full list

Asda has begun converting some 116 Co-op sites into Asda Express convenience stores across the UK. Bosses have now confirmed the first 11 locations to be transformed.

The supermarket giant acquired a total of 132 sites from the Co-op last year in a £438m deal as part of its long-term strategy to become the UK’s second largest supermarket. Another 105 of its new Asda Express stores - which include attached petrol station forecourts - are due to open by the end of March 2024.

The converted Asda Express sites will stock up to 3,000 branded and own-label products, including ‘top ups' for essential items such as milk and bread, grabbing lunch on the go or cooking dinner from scratch.
