Arsenal, West Ham plotting Zinchenko raid with Man City coup reliant on one key promise

Arsenal and West Ham are among a host of Premier League sides to make contact with the camp of Oleksandr Zinchenko, and a report claims his Man City exit rests on one guarantee.

The Ukraine international, 25, remains one of the most influential footballers in his national side. However, the same cannot be said at Man City where Zinchenko continues to play second fiddle to Joao Cancelo at left-back.

That is understandable given Cancelo’s incredible development over the past few seasons. However, it is not something that is to the benefit of Zinchenko.

90min report the full-back is now considering his future despite once being earmarked to become a regular starter.

Zinchenko has two years remaining on his current contract. As such, he will not come cheap with the report adding it’ll take upwards of £30m to secure his services.

However, aside from the cash, it’s stressed any would-be suitor must first make another guarantee.

Zinchenko operates primarily in midfield for Ukraine and has become their playmaker-in-chief.

That is in contrast to his outings at City which are predominantly consigned to left-back.

90min add Zinchenko is open to leaving City, though only to a club who promise to play him in midfield.

Pep Guardiola cannot make that promise with the likes of Kevin de Bruyne and Bernardo Silva on the books. However, a club like Arsenal may.

The Gunners are known to be hunting a new central midfielder this summer.

Youri Tielemans remains a top target. Juventus’ Arthur Melo is another on their radar, but the Italian side are demanding one of two critical Arsenal stars be included in a swap.

Zinchenko could represent a viable alternative to both. However, it’s noted they are not alone in making enquiries to his camp.
