Arsenal vs Manchester United LIVE highlights and reaction as Man Utd win penalty shootout

Manchester United start their pre-season tour of America with a friendly against Arsenal on Saturday night.

United have defeated Leeds and Lyon so far this summer and this weekend's clash against Premier League rivals Arsenal should give the players a stiffer test, whilst some in the squad will also make their first pre-season appearance.

Andre Onana has also joined up with the team after completing his move to Old Trafford, but he's absent from the squad tonight, which means Tom Heaton has been selected to start between the sticks.

Mason Mount was the first new face through the door this summer and he makes his third appearance of pre-season against Arsenal, starting alongside youngster Kobbie Mainoo and Bruno Fernandes in midfield.

In attack, Alejandro Garnacho also starts on the left, with Jadon Sancho down the middle and Antony on the right.

United's game against Arsenal in New Jersey is scheduled to kick off at 10pm BST, which is 5pm local time.

No Andre Onana and no problem. Tom Heaton, in his 38th year, pinged the ball with the precision of The Open leader at Hoylake and seconds later Manchester United were ahead.

A goal in an exhibition match was still celebrated jubilantly by Erik ten Hag. "Tom!" he shouted from the touchline, shielding the sun from his eyes to acknowledge Heaton. A delighted Heaton heard him.

Onana was not listed in the squad in New Jersey and nor was Dean Henderson, once the heir apparent to David de Gea, as both are not match-fit. Heaton's willingness to evolve as he nears his 40th birthday would suggest the days of errant distribution from a United 'keeper are over.
