William Saliba has been told he will "be upset" if he comes back to Arsenal this summer expecting to get straight into Mikel Arteta's starting line-up.

The 21-year-old defender has spent the season on loan at Ligue 1 side Marseille in an effort to gain more first-team experience and has impressed in his native country. But former Gunners defender William Gallas has told his compatriot he may have to settle for a place on the bench at the Emirates upon his return to Arsenal this summer.

It comes as Gabriel Jesus has posed a fresh Arsenal transfer question to Manchester City and Pep Guardiola after being linked with a summer move to north London. And the Gunners have seized the top-four initiative with a 3-1 win over Manchester United.
