Premier League legend Alan Shearer has lept to the defence of Arsenal captain Alexandre Lacazette following the Gunners' 2-0 win over Leicester City.

Lacazette was on target to help his side boost their hopes of Champions League qualification as he expertly dispatched a penalty into the top-left corner of Kasper Schmeichel's goal after stuttering during his run-up.

But the Leicester goalkeeper was visibly unhappy about the spot-kick as he rushed up and sprinted over to referee Anthony Taylor to complain straight after conceding.
