Pakistan vs Australia: Quick runs the order of day four in Karachi before another Aussie declaration

Australia's batters are trying to add to the team's massive lead before sending Pakistan in to try to survive the final two days of the second Test in Karachi.

Australia was in the field for 53 overs yesterday and led by 408 runs when Pakistan was all out for 148, so why did Pat Cummins decide against enforcing the follow-on?

There are a lot of reasons: searing Karachi heat, plenty of time left, hopes of more reverse swing through the middle of today, a potential hand injury for Cameron Green, annoying and tiring Pakistan's bowlers a bit with another Test still to come, a decade of Australia's bowlers carrying the load for the batters so why not give the attack a break?.

Intelligent people can disagree about whether the right call was made, or whether it even matters in this instance, and the captain of the SS ABC News Digital Sport, Kyle Pollard, has delved into the Australian men's Test team's relationship with the follow-on.

For the fourth straight time, Australia starts the day batting; this time looking for some rapid runs.

Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne are out there going at just about a run a ball (61 off 70), with Australia 1-81, leading by a whopping 489.

I think they'll try to slap an extra 50 or so before captain Pat Cummins declares for the second time in this Test (and fourth time in his brief Test captaincy career), putting Pakistan in to try to bat out the best part of two days on a crumbling Karachi deck.
