Arsenal: Kroenkes will 'back' Arteta amid £115m moves at the Emirates

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will be backed by the Emirates hierarchy, according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth.

The Gunners have already made three summer signings and are on course to make more additions as the Spaniard hopes to build a squad capable of qualifying for the Champions League.

We might be just a couple of weeks into the window, but the north Londoners have already been busy.

Their first summer signing arrived in the shape of USA goalkeeper Matt Turner, who agreed to move to the Emirates Stadium in January before officially becoming an Arsenal player later this month.

Teenager forward Marquinhos was the next through the door, signing permanently from Brazilian outfit Sao Paulo.

But Arsenal’s biggest and best signing was their latest, with Fabio Vieira making the big-money move from Porto.

The attacking midfielder, who scored seven goals and laid on 16 assists last season, made the switch to the Premier League for £34m including add ons following his outstanding form in Portugal.

Arsenal are yet to officially announce any further incomings but appear on the verge of adding to their summer business in the weeks ahead.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “I think what is clear is that Arteta will be backed by the hierarchy at Arsenal. He was backed last summer.

“There was no European football at all, they were only in the three domestic competitions and yet they spent close to £145m, which was more than anyone else in the Premier League, so it’s not for the want of backing, I think he will be backed again.”
