Arsenal Goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale Stars In Brilliant Chip Shop Advert

Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has made a starring role in a brilliant advert, promoting a fish and chip takeaway close to the club's ground.

Now the 23-year-old is impressing off the field, as well as on it, as he has appeared in a very funny advert that Arsenal have put together for a local company.

The club's number one goes into chippy 'Chip Inn Fish Bar,' on the Holloway Road, and the other customers get ready to shout 'your chips ahhhh' delivered like the old terrace chant,' it's very enjoyable.

The appearance of Gunners' legend David Seaman in the advert just makes it all the better, with the formerly mustachioed keeper joining in the 'oooos.'

The ex England number one pops up again at the end of the video to ask for a saveloy, as he wants to avoid getting the treatment.

It is the fourth business in the series so far to be given the spotlight from the club, some of which are well known to fans and staff alike.

A statement on the club's website said, "The Chip Inn is a long-standing favourite with Arsenal fans and staff, and has been serving the wider community for more than 60 years.

"Based on the Holloway Road, it is run by Arsenal fan Murat Gokmen, who decided to step in and buy the business two years ago when its future was threatened by the Covid-19 pandemic."

Gokemen commented, saying, "Arsenal really means a lot to me.

"I grew up locally and went to Holloway School. I played football in the JVC centre, supported the Gunners and the goal of every kid was to get to the school cup finals when you’d get to play on the Highbury pitch.

"Arsenal is just such a big part of the area and I’m really proud that another part of the community, the Chip Inn, now has that association with Arsenal.

"The campaign has been brilliant.
