Arsenal coaching staff hold 'reservations' over £50m transfer target Edu reportedly loves

Arsenal's coaching staff hold some reservations on transfer target Gianluca Scamacca, according to recent reports.

Mikel Arteta's side are in dire need of at least one centre-forward after allowing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette to leave the club, with the latter rejoining former club Lyon on Thursday. understands that the Gunners are interested in Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus and technical director Edu has held talks with the player's representatives over the last few months.

Sassuolo frontman Scamacca is another name that has been mooted as a potential target, with some reports from Italy even suggesting that the north Londoners had already made a bid for the Italian international. However, The Athletic have now reported that Arsenal's coaching staff aren't totally sold on the 23-year-old considering how stylistically different he is from the primary target, Jesus.
