Armed police descend on city suburb after serious assault
Police have cordoned off a Cardiff car park after a serious assault on Christmas Eve.
A South Wales spokesman said: "Shortly before 11.30am today, South Wales Police officers responded to a report of a serious assault on Chapel Street in Llandaff, Cardiff. Armed officers were deployed as a precaution. One man has been arrested and taken to Cardiff Bay police station."
A car park opposite the Spar shop on High Street has been taped off. The force spokesman said: "Members of the public who may be attending events in Llandaff are advised that parking may be restricted and to make alternative arrangements."
