The ‘Arise Walk for Life’ programme, billed to begin today nationwide, will promote physical and mental well being of the people, the organisers have said.

The event, which is to herald the yearly Arise Women Conference by Dr. Siju Iluyomade, is aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle among women and tagged: “StepUp.”

Part of the programme, according to the organisers, is the Arise Golf Tournament at Ikoyi Club on October 20, 2023, which offers not just sporting excellence, but a unique networking opportunity with business leaders and philanthropists.

The programme continues on October 21, 2023, with Arise Football Novelty Match at the Onikan Stadium, Lagos Island.

“Arise Women will be playing against a team of celebrities and business leaders, showcasing the power of unity through sportsmanship. Young women football enthusiasts are also encouraged to attend and participate,” the organisers said.

According to Arise Women Convener, Iluyomade, there is a need to imbibe the culture of exercise and fitness to overcome health problems and live a profitable life.

She said the goal is to raise awareness on the importance of regular physical exercise and proper health checks, adding that the foundation is committed to fostering inspiration and hope.

“We are excited to celebrate our 15th anniversary with these events. Arise Women has been committed to empowering women and young girls for the past 15 years, and we are grateful for the support of our partners and donors who have helped us make a difference in the lives of so many.
