Ardova Handball: Niger Utd, Tojemarine battle in final game

Niger United of Minna and Tojemarine Academy of Lagos will lock horns in the final game of the Ardova Handball Premier League on Saturday at the NIS gymnasium, National Stadium, Lagos.

The game between the first and second place teams on the table is expected to be tough but Niger United will emerge league champions even if they lose as they will earn a point that will crown them champions.
However, the rivalry between the two sides and the fierce battle expected will keep the fans on the edge of their seats.
For Bendel Dynamos, a win against D:Defenders will lift them out of the relegation troubles. they will have to be at their best to beat D: Defenders.

In other games in the men’s category, Kano Pillars’ will take on Lagos Seasiders, Benue Buffaloes lock horns with Rima Strikers, Confluence Star battles Police Machine while Correction Boys take on Safety Shooters.

There will be two games in the female category as Defender Babes take on Delta Queens while Rima Queens play Safety Babes.

In some of the games decided on Friday in the female category, Seasider Babes beat Imo Grasshoppers 28 – 24, while Benue Queens defeated Bayelsa Queens 22 – 20.

In the men’s category, Kano Pillars outgunned Police Machine 33 – 26, Niger United beat Confluence Stars 35-26,
Bendel Dynamos defeated Lagos Seasiders 38-35, while Benue Buffaloes lost to Tojemarine Academy 29-40.

The Technical Director of Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN), Balla Mohammed was excited that the game of handball is getting stronger in the country.

He commended the sponsor, Ardova for backing the league, noting that the game has received a boost with Ardova’s backing.
